Disneyland Paris Reopens June 17 and Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel Opens June 21

Disneyland Paris is going to begin reopening on June 17 with Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park.  Disney’s Newport Bay Club Hotel and Disney Village will also be reopening.

Other hotels will be opening with Disney’s Hotel New York- The Art of Marvel opening on June 21, Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne opening on July 1, and Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch opening on July 13th–“ subject to the continued evolution of the situation.

Along with the reopening guests can visit the “all new Cars ROAD TRIP” attraction.

Guests take the wheel on a Cars-themed road trip along Route 66, discovering local natural wonders like the World’s Largest Lugnut and the Cars-tastrophe Canyon; with popular Characters such as Lightning McQueen and Mater coming along for the ride.”

The Disney Parks Blog posted two images of the “all-new” attraction. I like the nod to the Catastrophe Canyon that used to be part of the Studios Tram Tour.

Disney’s Hotel New York- The Art of Marvel

Guests can begin booking this new hotel tomorrow, May 18th. The new four-star hotel is designed to look like a New York art gallery and “will pay tribute to the birthplace of so many Marvel Super Heroes and their artists, while offering premium comfort and personalized services”

“Premium comfort and personalized services” is Disney speak for really expensive. It’s probably still cheaper than a New York apartment for a month.

There will be 471 “Superior Rooms” and 90 “Executive Rooms.”  Included in these numbers will be 25 Suites that will be “dedicated to Spider-Man, the Avengers or Marvel Super Heroes.”

That being said, it’s still pretty exciting as it’s full of Marvel art.  It’s “one of the largest publicly viewable collections of Marvel artwork. Paying tribute to the home of many Marvel Super Heroes and the artists who created them, the hotel will house 350 pieces of artwork – including 50 exclusive pieces – spanning both comics and movies by more than 110 artists from Europe and beyond.

I really do love the idea that it is reminiscent of an actual New York Gallery.  The idea that they designed the art and comics around the design is very cool. I’m an art teacher and my husband has worked as a comic book artist himself, so personally, I find it very exciting.

The hotel will also offer selfies with Spider-Man at the Heroic Selfie Spot. One can also get other photo ops at the Super Hero Station.

The Marvel Design Studio will work with “Aspiring comic book artists” to “sharpen their skills.

Other amenities include a fitness center, indoor and outdoor Metro Pool and a Hero Training Zone in an outdoor field.

Those looking to replenish their stores will find New York-inspired noshes and nightcaps at unique restaurants and bar concepts celebrating Marvel art.

Will someone please tell Disney that the word “noshes” is nauseating.  Seriously guys, when you write this stuff, at least try to speak like normal people.

But wait there’s more! Act Now!

If you book early you get a free Marvel print by Matt Ferguson and a complimentary mocktail.  (shaking my head as I type this.)

To make the stay even more super, guests booking before July 29, 2021 with an arrival date before March 30, 2022 will receive a take-home exclusive MARVEL print by artist Matt Ferguson and complimentary mocktail of their choice in one of the hotel’s bars.

There will also be an exclusive launch offer. Details will be available at Disneyland Paris – tickets, deals, family holidays | Disneyland Paris. You may also book via authorized travel agents.
