And so it begins. Disney will start increasing the pricing of Disney+, which we have been saying was coming. As of now it’s only being increased $1 in March 2021.

The price of Disney+ will go from $6.99 a month to $7.99 a month. Now that Disney has 86.8 million global paid subscribers they are going to start to raise the price.  Marvel, Star Wars, Animation, and other content isn’t cheap, so of course they will start to raise prices. $1 doesn’t sound like a lot but multiply that by the United States subscriber amounts it will be millions of dollars more.

With Hulu we saw they raise the prices $25 a month for their Live TV in less than two years. It will be interesting to see if prices are increased by more than $1 in the next couple of years.
