Disney Star to Produce Original Content

For those who don’t know, Disney Star, or “Star”, is an International streaming service owned by Disney as a “streaming hub”. It’s similar to Disney Plus but combines all content, not just family friendly, into one convenient selection.

Star features content from Freeform, FX, Hulu, ABC, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures and 20th Century Fox, all in once package, as opposed to paying for Disney Plus and Hulu separately in the U.S.

The service is available all across Europe, in Australia and Canada, with plans for expanding into further locations across Asia and South America.

It was recently reported by The Illuminerdi, that Star is currently working on producing exclusive content for the service. An eight episode mini series, currently under the name “The Garden,” is said to be in early development and will begin filming in London in early 2022.

The Plot is said to be about a man who is accused of murdering is wife but as events unfold a murder mystery arises.

Most likely these “Exclusive Shows and Movies” will be meant to target the international audience that Disney is attempting to break into, and perhaps in the future these exclusive shows and films may appear on Disney Plus at a Later Date.
