Yesterday there was yet another Skyliner accident where two gondolas collided and glass was broken. This time it happened at the Hollywood Studios station.
The collision and clean up caused guests on that line to be stuck, with some suspended, for about an hour, until they could be unloaded at the connecting station.
After a couple of hours that line was running again.
According to Click Orlando, Disney has stated that there were no injuries:
“Disney officials said nobody was in the cabins in the incident and nobody was injured.”
Eat Trade Travel had a pretty good video of them working with the gondolas:
Twitter had some thoughts and they usually don’t disappoint:
I’ll admit it…coming into the skyliner stations…there’s a little picker factor involved. Those things come in hot! It’s amazing this is only the second incident. #skyliner #disneyskyliner pic.twitter.com/ubdlPgrRWY

I agree with this. They do come in pretty fast!
Confirmed: Disney Skyliner’s running off the same server as Velocioaster’s AP reservation servers https://t.co/Xpsd2F4X4U

Disney Skyliner has second minor incident after transporting thousands of people a day for nearly two years, shutting it down for only a couple hours and people freak the f**k out. pic.twitter.com/C2XqZ6vVnx

From what I saw it was just a slight smash from the glass of one gondola coming off the spur and another going around the turn and they hit. But didn’t seem like anything from the last time thankfully 😅 Just glad to see it running

They get a little better at resuming operation with every crash 😂

Why do I feel they should have splurged by getting the air conditioned gondolas?

Just LOVE when this Disney Skyliner moves two feet and then stops and swings swings swings back and forth. Not at all disconcerting.

Thankfully no one was hurt. It doesn’t seem as bad as the big one that happened not long after it opened.
