And so it begins. Disney has now opted to removed “Soul” from the theatrical release slate on November 20th and will now be putting it onto Disney+ on December 25th, Christmas Day.
Unlike the previous release of Mulan this one is not going to cost those who want to watch $29.99. Instead it will be released at no cost to Disney+ subscribers. Merry Christmas!
Disney CEO Bob Chapek offered the following words about the news:
“We are thrilled to share Pixar’s spectacular and moving ‘Soul’ with audiences direct to Disney+ in December. A new original Pixar film is always a special occasion, and this truly heartwarming and humorous story about human connection and finding one’s place in the world will be a treat for families to enjoy together this holiday season.”
