Just yesterday images were leaked that showed a look at the new ride vehicles for the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” attraction coming to Epcot.

Disney was scooped on it so now they posted an official look. Since a lot of sites already covered it….yesterday.  But, we got the cool logo!

Here’s a video Disney posted showing the vehicles:

They do look a bit like the Rise of the Resistance cars in their design, but these will move differently.
Also, the Nova Corps insignia is pretty cool. You probably recognize it from the comics or the movies.

Each cab in the OmniCoaster system will turn and move to direct you towards the story. Here’s what the Disney Parks Blog had to say:

“As you can see in the video above – provided by Walt Disney Imagineering – each individual cab in the attraction’s OmniCoaster ride system will direct your eyes to the story happening around you. Instead of whizzing by the action, the system will fully immerse you in the attraction’s story from the minute you take off.

At Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind the adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.”

I am quite excited about this. I’m still not sold that it belongs in Epcot, but the new space restaurant and Mission Space being there kind of helps. All that aside, I really am looking forward to this adventure.

Expect Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to open for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.
