Well it looks like Disney might finally be getting the hint that people are starting to think that “magic” is getting to be too expensive!

They have just announced a new “special offer” for fall called the Mid-day Magic Ticket Offer and if you don’t mind going to the parks a bit later, it’s a good deal!

Here’s their description:

When the clock strikes noon, let the adventures begin! Purchase a Mid-Day Magic ticket, and you can soak up the seasonal excitement of the theme parks when you visit after 12:00 PM.
With this special offer you can enjoy admission after 12:00 PM:

  • 2-days: from $88 per day plus tax (from $176 total plus tax)
  • 3-days: from $84 per day plus tax (from $252 total plus tax)
  • 4-days: from $79 per day plus tax (from $316 total plus tax)

They posted this comparison chart for you:

It’s not like it’s a 1/2 price ticket or anything like that, but it’s a significant amount that will add up quickly!  You can choose from the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  But we are back to prices based on “selected start dates.”

You can had a Park Hopper option if you wish:

“A Park Hopper Option and a Park Hopper Plus Option are available for add-on. For Park Hopper Plus option, admission to Disney Water Parks and other fun activities is after 12:00 PM.”

But what days are what prices?

Throughout August-September the $88 seems to be the high end, with some dates dipping to $81, but when you hit October the prices go up to as high as $94-the lowest being $87.  November takes it up to $103 as the max and $97 as the lowest.  In December it dips back down to $95 being the highest and $87 being the lowest.

According to the fine print this offer must be purchased with a start date on or before December 15, 2019.  It appears you much purchase tickets by September 30th for this offer.

“To purchase by phone, call 407-939-2743 and speak with a vacation planning expert or call your travel agent.”

Fine print: Prices for ages 10+. Price varies based on selected start date. Lower prices may apply on certain dates. Check calendar. Ticket is available for start date on or before December 15, 2019. 2-Day ticket expires 4 days after the selected start date. 2-Day ticket expires 4 days after the selected start date. 3-Day ticket expires 5 days after the selected start date. 4-Day ticket expires 7 days after the selected start date.

Tickets are nonrefundable, nontransferable and exclude activities/events separately priced. Disney FastPass+ selections before 12:00 PM will not be valid with the Mid-Day Magic ticket. Tickets not valid for admission to morning Extra Magic Hours. Water Parks subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures.

It appears that Disney is very concerned about the drop in park attendance and this is their answer. I’m just happy they are finally understanding that people aren’t walking ATM machines and not everyone can afford all the constant price increases.

Maybe we should call this the “Oh crap our attendance is down deal” or the “We can’t let WDW’s Galaxy’s Edge not be busy like Disneyland Deal”  But I call it the “Win for the consumer Deal!”

If you would like to book these tickets call Disney 407-939-2743 or you an use your favorite travel agency.
