Finally! We are getting some of the great merchandise that the Asian Disney Parks get! So many of us have been asking for more of the amazing and adorable characters and merchandise that are available in the parks overseas.  NuiMOs are coming to the Disney parks that haven’t gotten them yet, as well as coming to Disney Stores and to Shop Disney!

nuiMOs were originally available in the Disney Stores and Parks in Japan, and China. Now that they are popular on social media, Disney is bringing them to the US (I bet they have a hashtag for them.)

NuiMOs are a blend of the Japanese words “nuigurumi” (plush) and modernu (model.) They are fun characters that you can dress up, pose and play with. Plus their small (about 4 inches tall) and easy to take around for your social media photos to share and have fun with (while promoting Disney.) They even made Spirit Jerseys for them and I’m wondering how much those are going to be given how much they are costing for regular sized ones now!

These new plush toys will launch on Tuesday, January 19th and will be available for the first time in North America and Europe  at shopDisney.com, shopDisney.co.uk and the first line will include:

Mickey Mouse

Minnie Mouse

Daisy Duck

Donald Duck

Stitch

Angel

But wait there’s more!

The first Monday of each month (starting on February 1) they will release new outfits and characters to “keep up with the latest trends including co-brands with Loungefly, Spirit Jersey, Ashley Eckstein, Disney Artist Wes Taylor and more.”

If it’s going by the releases overseas we will likely see Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy, Max, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, White Rabbit, March Hare, Judy Hopps, and Nick Wilde.

(I’m torn between thinking they are super cute and wanting one, wondering how much Loungefly clothes are going to cost for toys given how much their bags are, and rolling my eyes about how we couldn’t just get super cute merch from the Asian market, it has to be tied to promotion and social media.)

I hope they bring some of the overseas outfits here too. They have some really cute ones, but the prices are $$.

Disney hired a celebrity stylist with a large Instagram following, Maeve Reilly, to create “signature looks” for the launch. Can’t wait to see which TicTok influencer they get to promote them next.
