In response to this incident Disney has marked the trundle beds as “Out of Order” according to reports on social media.

The signs read:
We apologize for the inconvenience. This trundle bed is out of order and for your safety, it cannot be used at this time.
We want to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. If you had planned to use this bed, please contact the front desk so alternative arrangements can be provided.
I am not sure what they are going to to about fixing these beds. Most likely they will take rooms out of commission while they re-anchor them in a more effective way. But the hotel is new and I’m sure it has a lot of bookings, so who knows how long it will take for the issues to be resolved.
At the prices they are charging for this resort one would think they used the most secure, top of the line, products out there. Four screws weren’t going to cut holding that up long term.
Disney’s Riviera Resort is now accepting reservations for December 2019. DVC points chart not yet available. Let’s look at the rates.

I’m right there with @ScottGurstin!
If you have reservations coming up soon, and you were needing the Murphy bed for your party, I would recommend contacting Disney, or the travel agency you used, to find out if you need to make arrangements before you arrive.
