Disney Is Cancelling Reservations Through Most of May for Walt Disney World and Disneyland

Disney has just put out and email stating that Walt Disney World and Disneyland vacations bookings from May 17- May 23rd have been cancelled.

If you booked through Disney you can modify your reservation without the normal fees, if you do nothing they will issue you a refund. Those that booked through a travel agency must contact their agent to make changes.

Disney will also cancel any dining or experience reservations and will refund any of the money that was already paid.

Resort hotel at Walt Disney World Resort for travel dates March 16 to May 31, 2020.
Offer not valid for reservations canceled before March 1, 2020

At this time we still don’t know when either United States Disney park will reopen and they could reopen at different times as guidelines seem to go by state.

A Special Offer for Eligible Guests

Eligible Guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels may receive a $50 per night resort credit for stays between June 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. In addition to the resort credit, eligible Guests may also take advantage of a special Disneyland Resort offer to save up to 35% on stays most nights June 19, 2020 through October 3, 2020.

The resort offer is valid for Guests who booked a room reservation, or a Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package, to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel during the period from March 16, 2020 through May 31, 2020 and on dates that the Disneyland Resort theme parks are closed. Offer is not valid for room reservations or packages cancelled before March 1, 2020.
