The Star Wars Starcruiser Hotel will be opening up in Spring of 2022. Ahead of that Disney got some of the Imagineers who’ve spent the last 5 years or so working on the project to sit down and talk about what guests can expect.
The result is a video that’s over 18 minutes long that covers everything from how you will arrive, to the food, to how they connected and built Batuu around the upcoming Star Wars hotel so that the stories are combined.
I hope they did a better job than they did with the films.
For the rumored price they will charge for two-days and two-nights, I’m expecting those guests to get preferred access in the park and get ride passes for the attractions. They already said that those guests will have some better access and will be able to buy items set aside for guests at the hotel.
Here’ the video that explains a lot about the upcoming hotel.
It does sound more like a Disney Cruise Line event, with meals included, hence part of the price, but it will be a land locked ship. Honestly, it is a very cool idea, but it seems that a lot of the immersion they loudly proclaimed would be part of the Galaxy’s Edge experience for all guests is being shifted to the experience for the highest paying guests.
