Disney+ ‘Hawkeye’ Rumored to Be On Track to Film This Fall

A little while back there was talk that Disney+ upcoming Hawkeye was stalled out. Now the word is that it’s back on track and will be filming this fall.

According to MurphysMultiverse.com:

So, there it is…Hawkeye’s indefinite delay looks to have become a little more definite and it has been pushed down the list a bit in terms of when it starts production. I’d also like to point out that a September start of production, if they do in fact make that timeline, could allow Hawkeye to air in the Fall of 2021, as first revealed at SDCC and that at no point did the original article about the indefinite delay on start of production make any claims about an altered release date.

Hailee Steinfeld was the first choice for the role of Kate Bishop in this new series, however she may not end up playing the character as she is tied up with Apple TV right now. Perhaps they can work something out, but the rumor is Disney is also talking to a couple of other actresses for the role. Those actresses haven’t been named but it has been noted that they have both starred in a “big-budget sci-fi fantasy film.”

Other rumors that have been swirling around are about potential characters like Clint’s brother, Barney Barton, also known as Trickshot and possibly the inclusion of the Tracksuit Mafia (don’t you just love Marvel’s names.) But they do exist:

Of course a lot of this is speculation, but it does indeed sound like Hawkeye is getting back on track. And according to the author, Marvel Studios wants to begin production on 4 Marvels shows in September, including: Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight, with the first three expected to film mostly in Atlanta Georgia.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
