Disney is going to make the Galactic Starcruiser stick no matter what. It’s already overpriced and the shuttle is a box truck now and not the bus it looked like it would be and now there’s a comic series about the adventures and history of the ship, because of course there is.

According to StarWars.com:

“Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy, a new five-issue miniseries that spans centuries, focuses on the iconic ship at different points in the Star Wars timeline; we’ll see Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka team up in an early adventure and much more, and it’ll all tie into the events of the Walt Disney World Resort experience, taking place between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

So they are doubling down on the sequel trilogy era and pushing Hondo, because he’s in the ‘Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run’ ride and Lando because he has a Disney+ show coming and they didn’t kill him off in the sequel trilogy. So these are stories, I believe in the past, about them.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the 2-night, immersive experience, opens on March 1, 2022, at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

They even had the links to booking the starcruiser in the article, but I took them out.

Apparently there will be a Halcyon D3-O9 (my husband said he’s surprised it isn’t D-23) Not to be confused with the female shuttle droid “Rex Droid VO3A.”

Some of it talks about what you can do on the ship (because it’s a commercial.)

Then we see Captain Keevan, because we need to cement her as the captain, even though if this was the past she hasn’t moved up or on in all those years.

Is that Anakin fighting Ventress on the Halcyon?

Okay so they are trying to bring the prequels into it to which makes sense as they are going to do the Obi-Wan show on Disney+.

Hey it’s all just “brand synergy” but it’s like they are almost trying too hard to cement this.

It might be your cup of tea. Personally I think they’re just green milking the heck out of it and it’s turning blue. Maybe it will be incredible but it’s going to have to be super amazing for warrant the price tag.
