Disney Has Announced Walt Disney World and Disneyland Will Be Closed “Until Further Notice”

Disney has just announced that they will be extending the park closures “until further notice.”

They will continue to pay hourly parks and resorts cast members through April 18th

This announcement comes after Disney received criticism for making no announcements sooner. Unions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World sent letters to their Labor Relations heads in an effort to get answers for the cast members.

Finally Disney has responded to the situation. They had not changed their April 1st reopening date and now we have switched to a “until further notice.”

I’m not sure how this is going to affect those with travel plans. Prior to this announcement Disney was waiving fees for guests, who wanted to change or cancel, their trips up until June 30th. As far as I know this is still the case.

We will keep you posted as we get more information.
