There’s nothing more magical than Disney during the holidays. Disneyland Resort just announced its holiday events for 2021, including the return of the Disney Festival of Holidays.

Christmas at the California theme park officially runs from November 12, 2021 to January 9, 2022. The holiday decorations for Sleeping Beauty’s castle are already being prepped for the season (even though they just started the Halloween festivities).

The Disney Festival of Holidays is an event that celebrates holiday traditions from different cultures. The Disney California Adventure park is home to this event.

Throughout the park you will find food stands (aka the marketplace) offering both classic and new takes on holiday dishes from several cultures. You will also find amazing dessert and beverage options that embody the Disney holiday spirit.

While strolling around, snacks in hand, you can enjoy multiple musical celebrations.

Disney notes the entertainment highlights:

⭑Mickey’s Happy Holidays – dance along with Mickey Mouse and pals to the magically merry rhythms of the Holiday Toy Drummers
⭑Mariachi Divas put their own festive spin on classic holiday tunes
⭑Mostly Kosher honors Hanukkah with an eclectic blend of musical styles from klezmer and jazz to Latin and rock
⭑The spirited Blue13 Dance Company salutes Diwali with traditional dances during an unforgettable Bollywood party
⭑Phat Cat Swinger presents brassy, classy, swinging holiday music selections with a fresh new twist
⭑The Suffragettes, an exciting festival cover band, rock our holidays with chart-topping hits from favorite musical artists
⭑Holiday Toy Drummers march to their own beat while drumming up smiles wherever they go

A new Disney character will also make her park debut during this holiday season! Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming film “Encanto” will perform at Paradise Gardens alongside the Mexican folklórico dancers and Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, giant mojiganga puppets.

The best way to enjoy the Disney Festival of Holidays

Buy yourself a Sip and Savor Pass! This pass allots you with 8 tabs that allow you try out the different marketplace food and non-alcoholic beverage offerings. The marketplace kiosks also accept credit cards for when you inevitably run out of tabs.

The menu for the marketplace will be released closer to the event. Past menu favorites have included braised pork belly adobo with garlic fried rice, chorizo fundido, and the Mickey gingerbread cookie!

It will be exciting to see what they have this year!

Epcot also hosts a Festival of the Holidays for those closer to Florida!
