I love it when people go all out and do amazing things on their own, like this person who made their own working model of the Yeti from Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s ‘Expedition Everest’ attraction.
The young Imagineer in training posted videos of his progress and the finished product to Twitter!
I wish I could have seen the Yeti working in person. It was only after taking the “Imagineering in a Box” course that I decided to build it myself using my old Lego Mindstorms, a yarn of wool and modeling clay. What do you think @Joe_Rohde ? pic.twitter.com/Rm1F51zxXf

I can’t believe this is all just wool, modeling clay and LEGO Mindstorms pieces.
Here is the process behind it that he posted.

For those that don’t know the Yeti in the “Expedition Everest-Legend of the Forbidden Mountain” attraction, used to swing it’s arm out. However that movement caused some issues and it had to be turned off. Many keep wondering when, if ever, it will be fixed.
Here’s a gif of it in motion.
So it’s very cool that he recreated it.
What makes me even more happy for him is that he actually got a reply from Joe Rohde.
I even got a reply from Joe Rohde!!! 😎https://t.co/JpeHUVyrVb

It’s just a fun and happy story that I wanted to share with you all.
JC you did a fantastic job! Keep going! I can’t wait to see what you create next!
