Disney apparently has delayed the opening of the upcoming Marvel Avengers Campus in Disneyland. I don’t’ think anyone is surprised by this.
The original opening date was listed at July 18, 2020 and now it just says “coming soon.” Sadly, Disney announced the date the day before the parks had to shut-down. We were expecting a delay as all construction was halted on new Disneyland addition, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Disney indicated that the construction team would resume work when it was safe to do so and they would announce a new opening date when they have a better idea of how long it will take once they are allowed to continue working on it.
When the Avengers Campus opens guests will be able to experience “Phase 1” of the new area with a brand new Spider-man themed ride called “Web-Slingers: A Spider-man Adventure,” as well as a new roof-top show featuring the character.
Guests will also be able to visit a new restaurant called Pym Test Kitchen, a Doctor Strange special effects show, and Marvel character meet-and-greets.
We will keep you posted when we have more information on a new opening date.
