Last week there was a rumor swirling around that Disney had plans to demolish The Land and The Living Seas pavilions for upcoming phases to the Epcot reimagining.
I gave my reasons for doubting this rumor HERE.
When asked on Twitter Disney confirmed that they are not planning on removing those pavilions in the future:
There are big plans for Epcot, Kaz. We do have new pavilions joining, like the play-themed pavilion and the Guardians of the Galaxy-themed roller coaster, but The Land and The Seas with Nemo & Friends are planned to be with us into the future.

A lot of long time Epcot fans (myself included) were not happy with the suggestion. Plus, people in the know over at WDWMagic forums also thought this was not the case.
We have a lot to look forward to with the reimagining of Epcot from a new entry-way to new attractions and a restaurant. Now we know that The Seas with Nemo and Friends and The Land pavilions aren’t being torn down!
