The Disney Parks Blog has announced the first ever ‘World Princess Week’ for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. It’s basically a way for Disney to share new content and merchandise showcasing the Disney Princess brand.
Here’s what’s coming
Walt Disney World Resort
Tiana-Themed Playground EPCOT
“Starting Aug. 23, there will be a new Tiana-themed playground available during the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival! This playground is an awesome offering guests can enjoy during the kick-off of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration, which begins Oct. 1.”
Here’s where Disney uses this to get you to spend money (because that’s what it’s actually about.)

Disney Springs Princess Insta Walls themed to “Tales of Courage and Kindness”
They are calling them “art expression walls” but they’re basically hashtag walls for social media.
Disney even spells it out for you with this line:
“When you’re walking around Disney Springs, be sure to check out the latest Princess-inspired merchandise and snap a pic in front of the three art expression walls, themed to the “Tales of Courage and Kindness” storybook collection.”
Translation: “Come to Disney Springs and buy princess stuff, then take pictures in front of our walls. Be sure to post on social media with the proper hashtag (#UltimatePrincessCelebration) so you can properly promote us.”
Movies Under the Stars at Walt Disney World Resorts
Movies at the resorts during that week will feature Disney Princesses.
Those are the offerings coming to Walt Disney World. I will post the ones for Disneyland in another post.
