Descendants is all the rage with Disney Channel fans (my daughter included) and now fans can get down with the music from the films.
Disney has announced that there will be three opportunities for fans to participate in this event!
Now we already knew that they were bringing this dance party to the Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland , but this summer Disney Springs will also have a limited time DescenDANCE Party at the Marketplace Stage and then it will be added to the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party lineup.
The Disney Springs event will run from July 26-August 11 and fans “can hit the dance floor to some wickedly good beats, snap and share great pics at a pair of cool photo ops, and catch on-screen shout-outs from some of the stars of the movie.”
Then, beginning on August 16th, Walt Disney World guests can also participate in the DescenDANCE Party on the stage at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party.
I have to give Disney props for this one. It’s a pretty good tie into the next Descendants movie coming out on August 2nd called Descendants 3.
For those that don’t know here’s the synopsis:
In “Descendants 3,” after a barrier breach threatens the safety of Auradon during the VKs’ departure off the Isle, Mal decides to permanently close the magical barrier, fearing Uma and Hades will do irreparable damage. But an unfathomable, unforeseen dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it’s up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in the kingdom before it’s too late.
You can catch the new Descendants 3 on August 2, at 8 PM, on the Disney Channel. I know my daughter will be glued to it!
What do you think? Are you a Descendants fan? Are your kids Descendants fans? Who’s your favorite character(s)? Comment and let us know!
