Currently Disney is working on finishing up the Rise of the Resistance attraction at Walt Disney World and Disneyland and building the new Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser immersive hotel at Walt Disney World.
If everything stays one schedule the new Rise of the Resistance attraction should open on December 5, 2019 in Walt Disney World and January 17, 2020 in Disneyland.
@bioreconstruct on Twitter has some good shots of the current state of these two projects. Let’s take a look (oh and give him a follow!)

The building housing Rise of the Resistance is very big.

When you visit Batuu from the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, you will be put in a special transport (bus) that will take you into the Galaxy’s Edge area without taking you out of the “immersive” experience.
Here’s where they think that route might go:

Here’s a look at the current construction of the Galactic Starcruiser hotel.
The starcruiser is called the Halcyon and you can see the shape coming together in the construction photos.

The rooms in this hotel will have screens instead of windows. The are already saying it’s going to cost over $3k for a two-night stay in a cabin that fits up to five.

Could be these physical openings will be panels for emergency evacuation. Service bldg also seen. pic.twitter.com/KrZcAWFlpI

There still hasn’t been an announced opening date for the Star Wars hotel yet. But they said that reservations would open soon at D23. I’m assuming we will learn something about it before the end of the year.
I like the idea in theory, but it feels like a lot of the cool, immersive, stuff they promised for Galaxy’s Edge is going to the major upcharged hotel.
To follow along with the construction keep checking back here and definitely give @bioreconstruct a follow!
