Today, Walt Disney World announced the New Creations Shop as well as the return of Club Cool. This is super exciting news as was not sure we would see the likes of Club Cool again.  In September 2019, in preparation for the transformation of EPCOT, saw the closures of Club Cool, Fountain View, Innovations East and the Fountain of Nations.

“EPCOT is a park about people – about our hopes, our dreams and the magic in imagining the impossible and making that a reality. That idea is at the heart of creativity and our inspiration for everything we are doing as the park undergoes a historic transformation. This summer will mark another big step when we unveil the new flagship merchandise location, called Creations Shop.

Creations Shop features a bold, sleek design that creates a perfect showcase for the rich variety of items Guests will find as part of their EPCOT experience. It will be an open, bright, welcoming environment with huge glass walls that allow sunlight to pour in and make Guests feel like they’re in touch with nature even while indoors. We are using color, materials and light in new ways with some unique EPCOT touches that connect back to this park’s storied past while looking to the future.”

A New Shopping “Experience”

“As you can see in this new artist concept rendering, there’s a large mural of Mickey Mouse along one of the shop’s walls. We were inspired by Mickey as our subject for creativity – but this is Mickey like Guests have never seen him before. Guests will discover original homages to him throughout the space, including large, dynamic murals and new artist expressions that showcase the global, contemporary icon that Mickey has become for generations around the world. We are excited to feature this art program – completely original works that will live on in this space – as a testament to the park’s ability to inspire the dreamer in all of us.

Our goal is for Creations Shop to be more than a place for Guests to pick up a memento of their time at EPCOT – we want their every moment with us to be an experience worthy of the park’s vision and tradition. The products Guests will find here will extend Disney storytelling and allow them to bring that experience home with them, all while encouraging them to explore their own expressiveness and creativity.”

The Return of Club Cool

“Adjacent to the shop will be a revitalized Club Cool Hosted by Coca-Cola, which will also open this summer. This will celebrate Coca-Cola in a fresh new way, while keeping the fan-favorite experience that invites Guests to explore tasty drinks from around the world. This space will also have some new magic to bring the global experience of Coca-Cola to life for Guests.

Opening Creations Shop and Club Cool will be an important milestone in our ongoing transformation of the park. These fun and energetic locations will continue the reimagining of what will soon be a new neighborhood at the entrance and center of the park, called World Celebration. Late last year we unveiled a new fountain at the main entrance, followed this spring by new flags, lighting and music that further re-energize Guests’ entry into EPCOT. Creations Shop extends that forward momentum, and we can’t wait for you to step inside for the first time this summer.

I cannot wait to experience the new Creations shop and be back inside Club Cool. I’ve always enjoyed tasting the different Soda’s, including Beverly. It will be great to have an “old” friend back as EPCOT transforms into its future self.
