Donald Duck does not have anger issues. Pests perpetually target him. Sometimes it’s bees, and sometimes it’s chipmunks. The sailor wants to go about his business, and these critters keep bullying him. There’s only so much he can take before he snaps, man!
To celebrate the classic temper tantrum of Donald and his feuds with Chip ‘N’ Dale, Beast Kingdom has created a sizeable metallic-painted premium statue.
Donald and the tiny chipmunks are limited to a run of only 999 pieces. The statue is metallic in color, but this product is made of polystone. It is a mixture of resin and stone additives to give the end product a realistic stone look rather than plastic.
Donald measures 36cm tall, while Chip and Dale are about 12cm in height. Expect this trio to start shipping out in July of this year.
The MC-013SP is a special, high-end edition of Donald Ducks release, which now includes two fun and crazy little chipmunk brothers Chip ‘n’Dale! Presented in a luxurious, hand-painted two-tone metal and bronze colours, the statue sees the silver-painted Donald wearing his signature sailor costume in the midst of losing his temper. The chipmunk duo however are painted in bronze and look as though they have been rather naughty as they run away from Donald! Both are able to be placed anywhere around the statue, creating any scene that fans would like.
The Donald Duck cartoons are among my favorite Walt Disney shorts. I’d even go so far as to say that if Donald had not been around, the Disney brand would not have survived. Mickey just wasn’t a strong enough character on his own.
What other classic animated characters deserve to be captured in statue form? Personally, I want one of Flannery and the guinea pigs from Pigs Is Pigs to be immortalized in polystone.
