Disney has announced that two popular restaurants, and one popular dinner, will be reopening soon at the Walt Disney World Resort. The restaurants included are Chef Mickey’s in the Contemporary Resort, Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club, and Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Chef Mickey’s Dinner
Starting on May 16th, Chef Mickey’s will begin offering an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” family-style dinner that will include characters. This will be “no touch” character dining, but you can wave or take a selfie with Mickey Mouse and friends.
Guests will also get “a souvenir with character signatures and colorful artwork.”
The Dinner Menu will include choices like:
Starters:
Chef Mickey’s Caesar, Citrus-Poached Shrimp Salad and Assorted Breads.
Main Course Items:
Gnocchi, Roasted Garlic Potato Gratin, Plant-Based Faro Wheat Fried Rice, Prime Rib, Roasted Turkey and Salmon.
There will also be dessert/sweets options.
Children’s Options:
Mac and Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Turkey, Corn Dog Nuggets and more!
Reservations will open on May 7th.
Cape May Café
Cape May Café will be reopening on May 18th, with reservations opening on May 7th.
There will be some old favorites returning and some new changes. They will serve breakfast and dinner but Minnie’s Beach Bash and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet will not be returning when they reopen.
Instead there will be an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” family style menu.
At breakafast the menu will feature items that include pastries, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse waffles and omelets.
Dinner will offer guests choices like a Seafood Boil that will include “a variety of fresh seafood.” A Turf Platter with steak and chicken or Lobster Mac and Cheese. There will also be “house-made” Parker Rolls and Corn Bread.
Tusker House
Tusker House will be opening later this summer. Again, instead of a buffet, guests will be given family style entrees to choose from. There will be a modified character experience like with Chef Mickey’s. You can see Donald Duck and friends in their safari outfits as they promenade around the restaurant, but it will likely be distanced.
The menu, opening date and reservation information is not yet available, but will be coming soon.
Breakfast here was one of our kids favorites!
