Recently there have been multiple cold fronts hitting Central Florida. The cool temperatures have been causing multiple water parks from both Disney and Universal Studios to temporarily close. Now another cold front has hit Central Florida, but this time multiple water parks affected and are temporarily closing.
The parks that were affected by the cold front include Disney’s Blizzard Beach (Ironic), Universal Studios’ Volcano Bay and SeaWorld’s Aquatica water park. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is still currently closed but if it was open to the public you can bet that would also be shut down. Despite this many of the water rides at the theme parks will still be open. So it’s okay to get soaked on Splash Mountain but swimming is a big no no.
The local weather broadcast predicts that Wednesday temperatures will be in the 60s, too cold to swim in which is why they will be closing. But the warm weather is set to return by Thursday, bringing it back to the 70s. So the shut down of the water parks will most likely last only one day.
The continue cold fronts has been alarming to some. In Northern Florida temperatures have been getting as low as the 40s in rare cases. Some even have worries of snow or hail as the state has high amounts of precipitation. The colder weather could definitely cause some sort of frost.
The colder weather is not the only worry Floridians need to worry about as an EF-1 Tornado recently hit Fort Mayers, causing tremendous damage in the area.
Hopefully the cold weather leaves by the end of the week. People down there usually expect a sunny Christmas, so lets’ hope that there’s is Merry and Bright
The water parks are expected to reopen Thursday, but that all depends on is the weather warms up by then.
