If you were as unimpressed with Hasbro’s replica of Mjölnir as I was, maybe the one coming out from Beast Kingdom will be more up your alley. But, of course, that is if you want to spend $299 and wait until July 2023 for it to be delivered.

At first glance, the replica of the rebuilt Mjölnir from Thor: Love and Thunder looks pretty good. Then I noticed the word “statue.” I’ve got a feeling that the hammer wielded by the ‘Mighty’ Thor is attached to that base. Unfortunately, the replica’s listing description doesn’t say one way or another.

We know that the hammer features a light-up effect similar to what we saw with the Marvel Legends replica. It is battery-operated and does not come with any plug-in feature. There’s no sound built into this one, either. Yup. It’s just Mjölnir on a base with an individually numbered plaque.

The entire piece stands 53cm or almost 21″ tall.

Beast Kingdom’s ‘Entertainment Experience Brand’ celebrates the launch of the new Thor movie with a high-end, 1:1 life-size replica of the mighty Mjolnir. Standing at 52cm in height, Thor’s life-size hammer is recreated with movie-grade accuracy. The details across the cracked pieces of the hammer are highlighted with an evenly spread blue LED light that recreates the lighting shine. A base with individually numbered plaque tops the collection fit for any god of thunder challenger! Own yours from an exclusive Beast Kingdom outlet today!

As a purely static collectible, it’s not bad at all. However, I’d rather have the original Mjölnir with the Trinity Celtic knot from the first Thor feature film. Something about having this kind of large statue being driven by batteries also rubs me the wrong way. Something like this would end up never being lit just because I wouldn’t want to change the AA or AAA cells every couple of days.

What do you think? Is this hammer worth $299 if it’s permanently attached to the base? Let us know your thoughts below.
