“Okey dokey, artichokey.”

In January 2021, Disney+ debuted WandaVision – the first of Marvel’s small screen series. The series blew up in pop culture, earning Marvel and Disney quite a few accolades, including 23 Emmy nominations.

Fans were excited to ride through the decades with Wanda and Vision. But it was the series’ breakout star – Kathryn Hahn – who had fans talking the most. As Wanda’s chummy neighbor Agnes – later revealed to be the villain Agatha Harkness – Hahn inspired more love for a villain than any other in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), with the possible exception of Loki.

Now, Agatha is set to expand her story in a WandaVision spinoff series.  Kathryn Hahn will star in the series, reprising the role of Agatha Harkness in the series, which is currently in development at Disney+ from Marvel Studios.

According to Variety, the series is described by sources as a dark comedy, though the exact plot details have not been revealed. Should the spinoff go forward, WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer would serve as the writer and executive producer for the series.

Hahn’s portrayal of Agnes, in a sitcom-style campiness portrayed throughout the decades, was the real joy Hahn brought to the series. When we last saw Agatha, Wanda had cast a spell on her to trap her in the Town of Westview in that exact sitcom persona. With a little bit of luck (and smart decisions from Marvel’s creative team) fans may get to see both sides of Agatha once again.

If Agatha returns to the MCU, it will be one of the most anticipated Marvel series to date. Are you on Team Agnes or Team Agatha?
