Today Disney gave us a look at the Disney Wish. Included in that preview was a look at all the new family entertainment coming to the Wish, that will set sail starting in June, 2022.
Disney is combining technology, storytelling and innovative design to create new immersive guest experiences, entertainment and environments for the new ship.
Let’s take a look at what new Entertainment offerings await:
The Grand Hall
This is a new “fairytale gathering space” set in an “environmental theater” that uses built-in-special effects and the “first-ever atrium stage on a Disney ship.”
This is located in the Grand Hall area of the ship. There will be theatrical “surprise” throughout the day.
Luna
Luna is a brand-new entertainment hub that will transition from a daytime setting for family fun into an elegant evening venue for adult-exclusive entertainment, offering a variety of live shows and interactive programming throughout the day.”
Hero Zone
This “is a futuristic sports arena where physical activity will blend with imagination during action-packed challenges and game show-style competitions for families to take on together.”
Walt Disney Theatre
The theater on the Disney Wish is inspired by and enchanted forest and will host original Broadway-style stage shows that are being developed exclusively for the Disney Cruise Line.
We do know one of the shows will feature a reimagining of “Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular.” There are also two new shows being developed for the Wish, but they are going to reveal more details about those later. ”
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas
Cinemas are of course available on the shop and these “are intimate screening rooms that will provide you more options than ever to watch classic and first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and more.”
Clubs for Kids
Kids aged 3-12 can have their own Disney’s Oceaneer Club that will host some new spaces:
Marvel Super Hero Academy
This is a “high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” will train to be the next generation of Super Heroes with the help of their own heroes, like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
Fairytale Hall
Here kids will find “a royal trio of activity rooms where princesses and princes will let their creativity shine at Rapunzel’s Art Studio, read and act out stories at Belle’s Library, and test newfound icy powers at Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus.”
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
This “is a first-of-its-kind opportunity for kids to discover the secrets of Disney Imagineers with hands-on activities and inventive experiments.”
You can even build and virtually ride, your own roller coaster.
It’s a Small World Nursery
This space for kids ages 6 months to 3 years, “will offer babysitting services in a whimsical environment inspired by the beloved Disney attraction of the same name.”
For Older Kids
“Edge (ages 11 to 14) and Vibe (ages 14 to 17) are trendy hangouts where tweens and teens will chill and play in their own way, with dedicated programming designed to engage the unique interests of these age groups.”
There’s a look at what’s coming.
