It seems that ‘The Jungle Cruise’ film starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson is moving ahead for a sequel at Disney.

According to an exclusive in The Hollywood Reporter both actors are set to reprise their roles as Dr. Lily Houghton and Skipper Frank Wolff.

Co-writer Michael Green will also return for a sequel and they expect Jaume Collet-Serra to return to direct.  The production team will also likely return as well.

The movie was a dual release to both theaters and Disney+ with it bringing in over $100 million domestically and $187 million worldwide for the box office.

It’s not a surprising choice and the film set it up that they can continue on other adventures.  I hope we get Jack Whitehall back as MacGregor Houghton for future films too. He was a high point in the film.
