Even a casual observer of Orlando area theme parks knows the Wizarding World intellectual property changed the industry. When Universal Orlando retrofit the fabulous Hogsmeade area into Islands of Adventure, the park changed forever. The Three Broomsticks offers guests incredible theming and above average quick service food options. Many solid reasons exist to explain that guests love the Three Broomsticks. However, even if you love this place, there are many reasons to dislike this place. As a verified Muggle, I confirm these reasons are commonly expressed by guests.
- GETS VERY CROWDED
Due to the popularity of this place, it fills quickly. With the tables being very close together, guests express filling claustrophobic while dining here. During busy times, be careful not to hit you neighbor while enjoying your food. Also, the queues just to enter this place during busy times of year ranks as daunting.
- NOISE LEVEL
Related to the first reason, the high crowd level contributes to the noise. With food being brought to your table, the team members tend to communicate more than other quick service places. Also, depending on where you are seated, the echo factor indoor adds to this phenomenon.
- SILVERWARE ISSUE
I respect this place is a step up in terms of theme park quick service food. Still, can they provide decent silverware? I do not mean “real” silverware. I desire plastic cutlery that actually works for more than just poking the food.
- PRICE POINT
The restaurant theming here makes this dining experience. The food rates as good. However, if you were ordering this food outside of Wizarding World, the price would be lower. In fairness, the prices do not reach ridiculous but appear high. As you try to budget for a theme park day, this quick service place presents a challenge.
- LOW CHAIRS
Most people complain about how low the seats are to the floor here. Some have compared it feeling like a little kid barely able to see over the table. That might be an exaggeration, but it is noticeable how low the chairs are in relation to tables. If you are dining here after a long day in the parks, you might need help getting up after completing your meal.
If you dislike crowded restaurants with low chairs, you should avoid the Three Broomsticks. However, if you are a Wizarding World fan, maybe go check out the patio area behind Three Broomstick to get a look at the theming there. As always, eat like you mean it!
