Many Orlando area theme park veterans joke about Disney’s Hollywood Studios being a sad place to be hungry within. These days, Hollywood Studios features numerous great places to dine. Through the ups and downs of dining at Hollywood Studios, The Hollywood Brown Derby continues to offer signature style dining.

Hollywood Brown Derby opened way back in Hollywood Studios opening year of 1989. This place continues providing fine dining today. Many people claim to be huge fans of this place. Below will be a list of reasons people love this place.

  1. THE COBB SALAD

This article does not intend to cover entire history of the Cobb Salad. Still, the history and legend of this salad merits the admiration of this dish. This salad consists of spit-roasted turkey, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, avocado, and a classic dressing. The salad cost $20. Guests can add chicken or shrimp for an additional fee. Stated simply, this salad deserves more praise than a typical them park salad.

  1. FOOD PRESENTATION

Though it may not seem like a big deal, how cuisine emerges in front of patrons matters. This place excels at presentation. Every item arises from the kitchen to the table looking great. Guests often comment on the exquisite appearance of their food.

  1. EXCELLENT SERVICE

Trying to express the tradition and style of original Hollywood Brown Derby in California, the service here exceeds normal standard. Though the service fails to be perfect, the usual quality ranks very high. Guests also express enjoying the beautiful interior and quality seating adding to feeling of fine dining.

  1. BREAD ROLLS

Though this may seem like a small thing, these rolls display care for guests. As fewer and fewer places offer complimentary bread service, these rolls create a taste adventure to start your dining experience. Though there have been some changes to the rolls through the years, the quality remains high.

  1. EXCELLENT FOOD

In Disney’s marketing, they promote this restaurant as best one at Hollywood Studios. Yes, the prices reflect that. However, in almost all cases, the food backs up this claim. If willing to splurge, this place reigns supreme as best dining option within Hollywood Studios.

In addition to the Cobb Salad, this place features one of the best burgers on property. If desired, one can order a well-prepared filet mignon. This filet mignon rivals the other steakhouse options on Walt Disney World property. I realize those are fighting words to some Disney fans. Still, guests can locate better food on Disney property but probably not inside Hollywood Studios.

Also, this place offers quality fine dining kid’s meals. Kids can order a kids size filet with excellent sides. In fairness, this place ranks lower for being kid friendly. Nevertheless, if your kid likes steak, they can enjoy that here.

The legend of Walt Disney himself enjoying the original Hollywood Brown Derby grows over time. However, the Disney desire for this restaurant to provide high quality signature dining has not faded. Thus, guest find many reasons to love this place.
