It’s just been confirmed that Universal Orlando is cancelling Halloween Horror Nights this year because of safety concerns due to the pandemic.

It’s especially sad because this year was to be the 30th anniversary of HHN, and it was rumored that we’d get a Beetlejuice house.
However, it was only a matter of time since Disney canceled its Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween event earlier in the year.
We thought it was unusual that they were going to open the Tribute Store so early, but it makes sense as Universal will need to move merchandise that was likely designed months ahead of time in anticipation of HHN30.

The bigger question remains: Will Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando be forced to close again due to the skyrocketing cases of coronavirus in Florida? Only time will tell.
